What is
AMCA-NSW? |
AMCA-NSW is the professional
association for the air conditioning industry in this State.
|
|
Who are
its members? |
We have a wide membership range, from large companies to very small businesses who sub-contract to the
larger firms. We also have a number of Affiliate Members.
|
|
What do
AMCA-NSW members do? |
Generally, they design,
install and maintain air conditioning systems in large-scale commercial
constructions.
|
|
Such as? |
Such as hospitals, offices, sports stadiums, theatres, shopping centres,
hotels, home units, even freeway tunnels - you name it and they'll be in
it.
|
|
What
about domestic air conditioners? |
Most of our
members concentrate on commercial work only. |
|
What do
you do for your members? |
We've had to devote a whole page to answering that question! Big ones
are training courses, OHS and industrial information. Click
here for our Membership
page.
|
|
Can
anybody join? |
Any stakeholder in the industry is welcome to apply for the appropriate
membership grade. Again, our
Membership page has all the details.
|
|
Who runs
AMCA-NSW? |
A Council of 12 directors, elected annually by Members. The President
serves a two-year term, and there are four full-time staff members.
|
|
Social
events? |
We couldn't live without the August industry dinner and the October golf
day. They're great fun and great for networking.
|
|
How long
has AMCA-NSW been going? |
We celebrate our half-century in 2012. Judging by the
turnout at the 45-year bash, we'll probably have to start taking
bookings for the 50th next week.
